Super cozy, corner bar nestled in a residential neighborhood. Real down to earth patrons and very attentive bar staff who always ready with the next round. Not a ton of food options, but some charcuterie-esque options. Tons of board games, trivia nights, and a euchre league, so no lack of entertainment. Highly recommended.

Guthrie's is a great local tavern. I used to live in the neighborhood in the 1990s. It was great then, and now that I'm back as a visitor it still is. Friendly bartenders, good crowd. Close to Wrigley so it can get a little crazy after games.

My friends and I walked into this tavern on a Saturday night to enjoy a few drinks after a scrumptious dinner. This place was very lively and played good throwback music! We had an out of towner visiting Chicago, so my friends made him try Malort shot as a welcome and I cannot say he liked the taste, but definitely the experience. We were lucky to get a huge table and just relax for the night. The music wasn't too loud and allowed us to casually chat with each other without screaming lol. It's a nice and cool English tavern to just chill with few drinks on a Saturday night! P.S. Look at the interesting graphics they have on the top of the ceiling giving it a cool European touch

This is my favorite bar in wrigley! It's your classic dependable local watering hole, known for its thousands of first dates, with relatively cheap drinks, board games, fun events, and a nice outdoor patio. It has a cozy vibe, almost like a TV show bar. Never had a bad experience here. Shoutout to Bernie and Yemi (sorry for spelling) for always making us feel welcome! When I asked my friend how they would describe Guthries, he responded "It is not a bar, a dive, nor a lounge. It is a hangout, a meeting place, a home." Very cinematic

Fun little local tavern on Addison, only a few blocks from Wrigley. The crowd is early twenty something's, but it still has a local English atmosphere. Service was quick and staff was nice welcoming! If I'm every in Wrigley, this is the place that I'll be visiting the most. Welcoming and off of the beaten path.

Guthries! What a local fave! I love meeting friends here on a weeknight for trivia or games 'n chatting. The vibe is divey & very casual yet intimate. I love the gingham tablecloths and lamps- they add a lil romanzaaa, if you will. It's nice that you can BYOFood. Sometimes people will roll through selling pizza etc. too! The staff is always very friendly and quick. Highly recommend, especially for all the Chicago Party Aunt fans that want to experience Diane's local hang ;)

A neighborhood staple for decades, Guthrie's is back and better than ever after reopening a year ago after the pandemic caused it to briefly close its doors. There's nothing fancy here, just. whole bunch of neighborhood regulars and fun bartenders having a pint, watching a game, and playing board games. But, what more could you want? They do trivia on Tuesday nights as well, a homespun version, one of the better, more fun trivias you'll find. Always a great hang!

Guthries is back y'all! After having closed during COVID leaving the neighborhood gutted, Guthrie's has since REOPENED. Despite living in the area for years, I somehow never made it inside this neighborhood pub. Once they reopened, I was sure to change that! I've since been twice and have been kicking myself for letting so many years go without it! Guthries is the kind of neighborhood spot your favorite characters would go in a sitcom. It's a homey local watering hole, and I could not ask for more. For someone who isn't super into beer like myself, they have an awesome variety for ciders available, including my favorite, Vander Mill's Totally Roasted. All the bartenders and servers I've encountered have been super friendly and fun! There are tons of board games available, making it the perfect date spot or place to meet friends. I went with a few friends on Saturday and we laughed our butt off playing trivia. If you get hungry, they're cool with you ordering food in since it's a bar only. Good vibes all around here. If you haven't been, make the visit. You will not be disappointed!
